Continuing Education Scholarship
The Friends of Oakland Foundation is pleased to offer the Continuing Education Scholarship to support the educational goals of qualified Oakland-Craig alumni. This scholarship is designed to assist alumni who are seeking to further their education and professional development. Up to $1,500 will be awarded annually to eligible applicants.
Scholarship Details:
Amount: Up to $1,500
Application Deadline: October 1st
Payment: Funds will be paid directly to the applicant’s school of attendance, towards the second semester of tuition or fees. No funds will be awarded above and beyond the cost of schooling. If the recipient is not a full-time student, they may be asked to provide specific invoicing for their schooling.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following materials to be considered:
1. Completed Application Form – Personal details and demographic information.
2. Essay – Describe your educational objectives and chosen field of study.
3. Letters of Recommendation – Please submit 2 letters of recommendation from someone who can speak to your character, abilities, and commitment to continuing your education.
Selection Process
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the review and evaluation of the completed application, essay, and letter of recommendation by the Friends of Oakland Foundation. Recipients will be notified after selection, and funds will be distributed according to the school’s second semester schedule.
